Alexandre Vauthier Pre-Fall 2019

Alexandre Vauthier Pre-Fall 2019

Alexandre Vauthier has conquered the world of haute couture and is also making a splash in the accessory world. Vauthier started to work for Thierry Mugler after graduating from ESMOD. Alexandre left Mugler to become the lead designer for Jean Paul Gaultier’s haute couture collection. Mr. Vauthier stayed at the label for eight years until deciding in 2009 to begin his own label.

The shoes for Pre-Fall do not depart from Vauthier’s ethos of creating wearable works of art for his clients. One of Alexandre’s mainstays is using asymmetrical cuts for his dresses which he also uses for his shoes. Also, popular couture materials such as satin and rhinestones are used for two of the styles in this article.

Each style can be purchased from Moda Operandi and is scheduled to ship in late June.
