Earlier today, nominations for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced, and people had some strong feelings about its nominees.

Some of this year's strongest contenders included Game of Thrones, which led with the most nominations (22, to be exact) for any show, as well as Saturday Night Live and Westworld, which came in at a close second with a tie of 21 nominations. The Handmaid's Tale led the most nominations for a Hulu series with 20 nods, while FX's The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story scored the most nominations for limited series with 18 nominations. (Donald Glover's Atlanta followed shortly behind with 16 noms.)

Actresses Issa Rae and Sandra Oh had noteworthy Emmy nominations: Rae scored her first-ever nod for "Lead Actress in a Comedy Series," while Oh made history by becoming the first Asian to be nominated in the "Lead Actress In A Drama Series" category. Netflix also made history after it was revealed that it beat out HBO, which had led Emmy nominations for the past 18 years, with 112 nominations.

Tons of people were glad to see the shows get the recognition they deserve, but others were pretty peeved that Twin Peaks wasn't nominated for any major limited series categories.

This Is Us fans expressed that Mandy Moore should have been nominated for her performance as Rebecca Pearson.

And though Netflix's GLOW secured multiple nominations (including one for "Outstanding Comedy Series" and one for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series" thanks to Betty Gilpin), people were unhappy that Alison Brie didn't get recognized for her role.

The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on NBC at 8pm EST on Monday, September 17. Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost and Michael Che will host. You can see the rest of this year's nominations, here
