Looking around the internet I came across the designs of Manfredi Manara which are mostly comprised of classical and feminine silhouettes. Manfredi was born in Monaco to a Italian father and Argentine mother and spent his time shuttling between Milan and London. Manara studied at the London College of Fashion and worked in London, New York and Paris before deciding to focus on shoe design.

His search for a supplier led him to a family-run atelier in Parabiago, Italy where Manfredi knew he would be able to tap into the area’s shoe manufacturing expertise to create the shoes he desired. The first collection was immediately selected to take part in Artisanal Intelligence; a showcase of designers whose production supports traditional Italian craftsmanship, curated by Clara Tosi Pamphili and Alessio De Navasques as part of Altaroma July 2016. Manfredi Manara has been invited by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana to present the 2018 summer collection at Fashion Hub Market, which supports emerging designers during Milan Fashion Week.

You can marvel at the feminine silhouettes and elegant touches such as the use of a jeweled brooch and passamanerie fabric trims. Also, the first two styles are very similar and you can decide if you want an open or closed toe look.  In addition, fans of the d’orsay can enjoy one with lush velvet in royal blue.

Manfredi Manara currently lives in Milan working on his eponymous collection and collaborating with other shoe labels.
