The weekend is here folks and I am happy to show all of you some styles from the iconic Italian brand, Fragiacomo. The label was started in 1956 by Dante Fragiacomo who learned shoemaking from his father, Sebastiano in Cividale del Friuli. Possessing technical artisan knowledge, bold designs and a move to Rome were the motivating factors to start his company.

Fragiacomo was known to be one of the early adopters of using exotic skins such as anteater, ostrich, elephant and lizard for their designs. Renowned Hollywood stars such as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly were fans of the brand and the company also collaborated with famous designer Rene Caovilla. Today its exemplary designs can be seen in The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade, the Dutch Leather Museum and the Footwear Museum of Vigevano. Currently, the label is owned by Federico and Massimo Pozzi Chiesa since 2010.
